What is a Volunteer?
A person who performs or offers to perform a service voluntarily.
To perform or offer to perform a service of one's own free will.
To do charitable or helpful work without pay.
A person who renders aid, performs a service, or assumes an obligation voluntarily.

What is an Obligation?
Any act by which a person becomes bound to do something to or for another, or to forbear something; external duties imposed by law, promise, or contract, by the relations of society, or by courtesy, kindness, etc.

Volunteers are not paid -- not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless.

The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is just that little extra.

Teamwork allows common people to attain uncommon results.

Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.

Some people want it to happen, some wish it to happen, others make it happen.

The miracle is this - the more we share, the more we have.

We've been blessed with gifts and talents
To be used some special way.
To lend a hand or help someone
Who’s struggling day by day.
All it costs is our commitment
And a little extra caring.
While making a priority
Of reaching out and sharing.
And it’s a privilege working
For the causes we hold dear.
Just doing what we can to help
Each time we volunteer.
