Case's Ladder

WHERE AND HOW TO PLAY:

After you download and install the 2 programs, you will only be using the Excite Chat – Desktop Icon or Start menu Icon to access the site. *Virtual Places WILL NOT work if you try to use a browser (Netscape, IE5).

Click on the icon to open. After connection, you will be brought to a window where it will ask you to sign into Excite. After you sign in, you will be brought to a lobby. This is the Room Picker lobby. From there, if you wish, you can access a number of chat and gaming rooms.

In order to find the Case’s Ladder Yahtzee Room, you must:
-Find the “Location” bar at the top of the Excite Chat window
-Type in http://www.igl.net/exyacht/ (That is the address for the ladder site and creates the Main Ladder Room while in Excite))
-Highlight the address and hit “Enter” on your keyboard.

You should now be in the Case’s Ladder – Yahtzee (Excite) Main Ladder room. To make sure, if you see the main page of the Case’s Ladder Yahtzee (Excite) site in the background and it appears that you are in a chat room, you're in the right place. :o)) If it’s the correct room, go up to “Go” on the Excite tool bar and add the address to “Favorites Places”. You won’t have to type it in next time you log in, just click.

To play a game, make sure you have downloaded and installed the Yahtzee game. Right click on your name or picture and click “Start A Game”. If you wish to join a game, Right-click on your opponent’s gameboard or name and click “Join Game As”. After you play each game, please report your losses promptly by using the "Report Loss" link on the left side of the Ladder site (when you win, your opponent reports the loss).

TOURNAMENT ROOMS:

Please check the Tournament Calendar daily, on the left side of the Yahtzee (Excite) Ladder Site for dates, times, room #’s and registration.

To access the Tournament Rooms- while in the Main Ladder Room (see above), type this URL into the LOCATION bar at the top of the Excite Chat window:
http://www.geocities.com/yahtzeeladder/ladder2.html

This will take you to Ladder Room 2 and it is from there that you can access the links to the Tournament Rooms. Please add each new room to your “Favorite Places” list as soon as you get to each one. If you are new to the Case’s Ladder Tournament or just need a refresher course, you will find a Tournament Help link in Ladder Rooms 2, 3 & 4 and all Tourney rooms.
