I have heard comments, complaints and snide remarks from both sides about this issue (I told you I hear EVERYTHING! lol) and it disheartens me to think that we have become the Battling Yahtzee's. :o((

I believe there IS room for more than one place to play Yahtzee, but when people start making "that" a part of the competition and begin choosing sides or bow out completely, that is when the fun stops and the ladder suffers. It isn't easy starting a new ladder, believe me I know, lol. But dedication among the team AND the players and a belief that it can and will work, will help the ladder grow.

Instead of people asking, "Where is everyone?" all the time, why not invite friends and family and join us? I would be more than happy to send instructions to anyone that asks. We have a fabulous TD team, why not invite someone to join a tourney so they can see how much fun we have, which will in turn sway them want to stay and bring others.

If it is true (I’m not saying it is or isn't, not taking sides here), that a league which is on the same site as our ladder, for the same game and shares players will not play people from our group when they go there, then we must lead “by example”. Show the players that we welcome and play "everyone", no matter what other organization they belong to. I hate to say this but I have witnessed many players sit and ask for games in our room, only to be ignored and leave. I have also seen players come in, not say hello or open a table, then complain and leave cause no one asked them to play. Clearly the problems are not isolated to one group. :o((

What most players seem to have forgotten is that this is not the "old" Ladder Room. It is not always filled with players ready for a game. This is going to take some getting used to and patience on the part of the players to wait for a game to end. I'm not suggesting anyone sit in the room all day and wait for players, lol but if there are a few in there already playing, put an open invite in chat for when they are done. We all need to take an active part in the ladder in order for it to work. It will not come to us.

In closing I would just like to say this:

I am your Case’s Ladder Representative. I am also a player, a player who has known most of you for a long time and also made some wonderful new friends since our move. I will continue to welcome ALL players, from whatever other group they belong to because I strongly believe that THAT is what will make our home stand out among the masses and we will benefit in the long run. I sincerely ask for your help in making that come true :o))
