During the past three or four days World Play has been off more than on. I chattted with people from wWorldPlay and AOL and received a two month credit for AOL, but there was no information on how much longer it would be before WorldPlay would be operating properly and consistently. The main reason I subscribe to AOL is to have the ability to access Worldplay Games. Sometime within the last year (maybe longer ), AOL made it a requirement that you needed to subscribe to AOL in order to access Worldplay Games. Approximately 90% of my AOL usage is in World Play. You would be amazed to learn how many physically chalanged and/visually chalanged individuals use this site. AOL's Woldplay is the overwhelming choice as most user friendly and popular. The graphics are better than any other site. For us the walls of our living room literally dissolve and we are transported into the gin rummy room via computer. If it is the powers-to-be intent to see WorldPlay fold, it is not a popular decision and you do not have the support of the users. Over a five-year period I have formed lasting friendshps whith players in Backgammon, Cribbage and Gin areas of WorldPlay, and contact with these individuals who be difficult if not impossible to maintain if we lost WorldPlay. AOL is one of the more expensive services, for which I am more than willing to pay, however I do expect quality service. If this situation continues I will be forced to decide whether of not to keep my membership, and I certainly am not willing at this point to recommend AOL to anyone.
