What you said is true: There were people bashing Mr.Whoo in
this forum. But I would not take it too seriously for these reasons:
Of over 300 members on this ladder, there are only 3 that were
posting complaints concerning him in the forum. This represents
fewer than the average per-capita quota for social misfits in any
culture. While it may appear that there are many more, it is an
illusion created by one of these three who routinely changes his
name every few days.
Among the players that play at the backgammon tables, almost
all find Mr. whoo to be a welcome addition to the room. Many were
sad to learn that he can't play because of a problem with his new
computer. He has been a friend to all the players who come here
to have fun with other players at the tables, and a very good player.
Again, there are only a few who seek to bash him at the game tables.
But that is because he is one of the few who has stood up to their
rantings, while most other players remained silent so as not to become
a target of their attacks.
If you read the posts in this forum, you will find that only a few are actually
bashing people or making claims of wrong-doing (you guessed it, the
same three). The rest are mostly follow-up requests to stop whining and
prove their claims, or posts from people who are laughing at the ludicrous
nature of their complaints.
With any luck, the ladder ops will be permitted to enforce the rules which
prohibit us from using this forum to abuse other ladder members or make
allegations of cheating. Since the Sr. staff has become involved, I haven't
seen any new derogatory posts.
