Of all the players that reached the number one rung
on the ladder, who do you think was the greatest?
I look back over two years in the pip room, and see
there were a lot of good players in that position.
It's hard to say any one was better player than another,
but I had a few favorites.
The thing that was most endearing to me was the #1 player
who would finish the required matches, then remain a couple
hours longer to play all the down players. I suppose this
is a rare sight, but it has happened on several occasions.
The first I can recall is Lavlilly. She always played for
at least 2 hours at a stretch when she was in the #1 spot,
sometimes up to four hours.
Since she left, the only other #1 players that I have seen
consistently play as many players as they could were
Champ3961 and profesr. When they were in the #1 position,
this ladder was crowded with players ready for a challenge
nearly 24 hours a day.
I believe that these players did more for good for the
ladder than all the rules that were passed in the last year
I have also seen sniperesse spend quite a bit of time playing
people that she was not required to play on occasion.
Have I left anyone out that should be on the list of
favorite #1 players?
