These installments of Cases 101 were originally posted
beginning on 10-04-02 in response to some do-gooders who
wanted to make the forum nicer by ending the arguments
that happen here. But they were erased by a server crash
just hours after the final installment arrived:

CASES-101

This post is for information purposes, so y'all ken
understand what Cases is all about, and how to get the
best entertainment pleasure for the time ya invest.

INSTALLMENT 1. The Basics:
The existence of Cases is based on an adversarial systern
of pitting one person against another. The outcome of a
contest is that one person is the winner, while the other
s the loser.

Cases, with their wisdom in adversarial conflicts, has
implemented a dice program designed to sometimes allow
inferior players to win games that they do not have the
skill for. The same dice program can cause players to
have winning or losing streaks, thus making it appear
that he is cheating or being cheated.

Cases refinements:
Why would Cases want a skewed dice program? Because it
causes people to get angry -- angry enough to come back
and play their grudge matches. This, in turn, forces
the players to look at advertising for Skilljam.com,
VegasVilla.com, Flowgo.com, ads04.euniverseads.com,
Cases mugs, tee-shirts and diamond memberships, etc.
The end result is that Cases gets richer, and has more
money to pay their staff and expand their operations.

If you were to talk to the top levels of the Cases staff,
they would tell you that they love it when people are
angry at each other. The more arguing and bickering,
the better they like it. They have learned what
Jerry Springer knew all along .. The more adversarial
the atmosphere is, the richer they will get.

And if you were to get one of their programmers on a
chat line, and ask about the random number generator
that they use to generate the dice rolls, they will tell you
that "we can't give out that information, as it would
compromise security". Ya right! hahahaha.

Cases has carefully created an environment conducive to
arguing, fighting and conquering, with a winner and a loser.
Because Cases is not interested in having Win-Win situations,
it is unlikely that any attempts to implement such a program
will result in anything other than another failed effort.

So here ends installment #1 of "Cases 101". With what I
have told here, many of you players will understand the
dynamics of the situation, and will know how futile it is
to try to reform idiots in the pip room. You may also have
a better understanding why no-talent players can beat
you in games that ya know you shoulda won.

Others may wish to read installment #2 and beyond,
or you may disagree with this whole line of BS.
After all, it is just an opinion, and has nothing to do with
Cases stated mission, objectives, or opinions.
