: Good afternoon,
: We have received complaints about spot matches and have noticed the difficulty folks have had with getting their spot matches, for a long time. We received a suggestion from SrStaff that maybe we could discuss modifying the rule regarding Rank Defense Matches (spot matches). I knew this discussion had come up before, but some time had passed and the issues remained, so we decided to post on it again. We did not post to tell you about a rule we were changing. We thought maybe a change in the rule would make it easier for people to abide by the rules, and we wanted to hear folks' opinions on the matter.
: From the responses, it seems that more players would prefer the rules to remain the same, that those who would like a change - And that's fine! We won't put it in the voting booth then. No big deal. We had our discussion like civilized folk (mostly), and we're moving on.
: Now I'm seeing other discussion about LadderOps, and Grace in particular. Grace is doing the best she can. She volunteers her time freely and without compensation, and many times without appreciation from anyone. Some of the things I've read in here, which claim to not be personal attacks (but let's be honest, how could they not be personal attacks), are pretty unfair.
: If anyone feels that they have the time to commit to handling complaints almost instantly, marketing the Ladder (although that's not a LadderOp's responsibility necessarily), sitting in the game/chat room all day on the lookout, then please, by all means, fill out the LadderOp application. The application is available to all members. At the left side of the page, scroll down to the Support section. Click on the word "Support" at the top of that section. You'll see a link to the LadderOp Application in there. Also, the first link under the Support section is Common Questions. You'll find the answer to some of your questions in there as well, like "What is a LadderOp?". If you fill out the application and are accepted, you'll complete a training course where you'll learn all about the responsibilities, the policies and procedures, etc.
: If anyone has any questions about any of this, please feel free to contact us via the support links, and we'll be happy to assist.
: Best regards and good luck at the tables.

Been there, done that with not much support from Case. Seems that at times there are different rules for different people.
