Hi All,

I know there are many questions surrounding the recent rule updates. Just to let you know the results of the ones voted on by the ladder.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Challenges Previous Rule reads:

When playing Ladder matches you take your matches in order of first come first served rather than priority. So, the first person who challenges you and asks for a match is who you should play.

Proposed Change:

The priority rule for accepting challenges only applies when there are multiple challenges at the same time. When receiving a single challenge, a member must accept the challenge rather than solicit other challenges.

The original rule as noted above was removed. The rule as voted on is now covered in the general rules. Therefore, a separate game specific rule is not needed. This was passed with a 65% majority vote. This means if you are in the lobby and are asked for a game from multiple people you will need to ask their ranks in order to work out who you should play first. If only one person asks for a game, you play that person as usual.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Formal Challenge Rules

A Formal Challenge is to be used only when the following steps have been taken without success:

First, attempt to get the game in the lobby.

Second, send an email to the player you wish to challenge. (Can click on their name on Standings to generate an email).

Third, if the first two steps are not successful, then use the Formal Challenge as a last resort.

Formal Challenges have priority over all other games. If you have a Formal Challenge and both parties are online then finish the current game you are in and play the Formal Challenge.

The rule has been removed and the general rules for formal challenges will now apply as per the vote. This was passed with a 76% majority.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1 vs. 2 Match

Ranks 1 and 2 must play each other every 2 days.

Proposed Change:

1 vs. 2 Match

Ranks 1 and 2 must play each other every 3 days.

This rule passed the booth, and since the new rule is now covered under the current leapfrogging rule, the original rule as noted above has been removed from the game specific rules. This passed with an 86% majority.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Top 20 Activity

Players in the top 20 must play at least one match with another top 20 member at least once every seven (7) days.

The ladder voted to remove this rule. As a result, this rule has been removed from the game specific rules. This passed with a 65% majority.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you have, any questions about these changes please feel free to ask.

Thank you for your time,

Amy
