I sent in a ticket asking the programmers some questions and until I hear back from them, an interim setting seems to be the answer.

After we get rolling a little bit and players become more familiar with all the different table settings, we'll vote on things like who decides the settings and what the default should be. In the meantime I think it would be easier to just set things up the way most of us are used to playing.

Currently the default setting is for cuts, 200 game bag out at 5, so TEMPORARILY I am setting the tables this way:

Please note the option to have a NO doublenil game still exists as long as all 4 players agree.

This is ONLY temporary; we have lots of variations to choose from and it would be a shame not to allow players to try different things. That's part of the fun.

Again, as soon as I hear back from the programmers, I'll have more information to work with. Maybe a small ladder meeting would be a good idea to see what everyone wants.

Personally, it makes no difference to me, I just want the membership to be happy with the way we do things - and if they're not, we'll change it.
