Hi everyone.

This last post for now will cover tips, tricks, other tools, and known bugs during game play. As with any site, nothing is perfect, so I have incuded some of the most common issues you might encounter here. This post will also cover the various buttons within the gameplay itself.

First, from within the game room, I will go over the tools. The first small sunshine at the top left shows various tool options, bug reporting, etc.

The second sunshine, with the lighter background, is the same one that you used to select a game and play a game. A current bug with this is that all the options show up blank within the game unless you have used it before. The option of important note in this one is the very last gray box. If you click on it, it will allow you to see the lobby chat at the same time as the chat within the game.

The next set of buttons has two sunshines with a green background. The first option is to "Leave Game", which is self-explanatory. The next button below that is "Turn Order". Only the controller of the room can change that. The controller of the room is the one that offered the match originally, unless it was passed to someone else during play. The next option below that is "Observers". This will show everyone who is currently observing the game. The last option is "Take Over As Controller". If you are the controller of the room already, this option will not be available.

Next, if you are the controller of the room, you will notice another button with three sunshines with a red background. These are the controller options. The first option is "Force Turn". This will force a play on the other player so that gameplay can continue. The next option is "Boot Player". This option will allow you to boot a player from the table. The next button is "Save Game". This will allow you to save a game where it left off if someome disconnects, etc. You can resume the saved game from the lobby by choosing "Resume Game" under the sunflower with the light background in the game lobby. You need to make sure you have the game loaded (listed next to your name in the lobby) first. The final option is "End Game". This option will force end the game and send everyone back to the lobby. When you get back to the lobby, you will have a popup showing you are already offering another match. Occasionally, if you play someone and the game is over and try to play again, the game may try to start where it left off, even if it is over. As the controller, you will need to click "End Game" while in the game room to force the other game to be ended.

Farther down, you will see a button that looks like a spglass. You can click on that to look at a card individually in your hand, or one that has already been in play and showing in the game room to all.

Next to that, you will see a green button that says "Hand". This is where you can retrieve the cards in your hand if you lose them somehow. :)

Currently, you can only see two battle piles at a time. Below the buttons at the top, you will see a dropdown. This will allow you to see another player's battle pile if playing in 3, 4. or 6 person mode. Next to that, you will see a previous or next button. This is another way to switch the battle pile view from one opponent to another. Next to that, you will see a button that says "Info". This button will show how many cards are in that player's hand, how mnay remain in the deck, etc. Towards the end, you will see a button that says "Refresh". I assume that this means if things on the screen are frozen, it will refresh the table, but not sure. Next to that is the chat within the game room. You can choose to show only log items or only chat. I have not found a need to use either of those.

Next is the middle of the screen, which is where the battle piles are. This next section will explain how to play a card, not necessarily the game itself. :)

To play a card, if it is a "Remedy" card, such as the Roulez (or Roll) card, you need to right click on the card you want to play, then click "Play Card", and then click "Play on playmat". If it is a remedy card such as the End of Limit card, it will say "Play on speed pile" instead.

To play a "Hazard" card, you want to right click on that card and choose "Play on Opponent Battle Pile". If in 3, 4, or 6 person mode, you will then have the option to choose who to play the hazard card against. Please note the the opponent MUST have the abilty to play miles in order to play a hazard on them.

The next type of card is the "Safety" card. The options you will have for this one are to "Play on playmat" or "Play as Coup Fourre!". The first option you can play at any time. However, if a player plays a hazard on you such as an Accident, if you have the Driver Ace safety, you can play the card as a Coup Fourre, as long as it is before anyone else has played. You will have to act fast, especially if more than 2 people are playing, as you cannot play it as a Coup Fourre after another person has played after the hazard was first placed. *** Coup Fourre's do not happen automatically here like it has done before on other sites. *** Note, when you play a card as a coup fourre, the card will show sideways on the playmat, but will show vertical when not played as a coup fourre. The cards will also stack up on top of each other. You can space it out by clicking on itand moving it on the playmat so that you can show multiple safeties on the table at the same time. There is a bug with these types of cards as well. If you right click on a safety after it has been played, it will allow you to return it to the hand. This is illegal. Do not put the card back in your hand after it has been played. It will mess the game up completely.

The last type of card you may have are milestone cards. These are the cards that you use to move. To play them, you must be able to "Roll" and to play it, you need to right click on the card, then choose "Play Card" and then choose "on playmat".

A few other bugs and notes. Currently, the site only allows one-handed gameplay, so once a player has reached the end, the game is over. Hopefully in the future they will be able to add a fix to be able to play all the way to 5000 points.

Finally, you will see two counters at the bottom left and bottom right. These show how far you have gone in distance, as well as any bonus points (such as Safety cards, etc.). To get the total score, you need to add those two scores up to get the total.

If you have any additional questions or need further clarification about any of this, please feel free to contact us by using the "Contact Us" link found on the left hand navigation menu found on the ladder's main page.

Thank you again and welcome to the ladder!!!
