Getting Started on CCG Workshop

Hi everyone.

Welcome to the new Mille Bornes ladder hosted on CCG Workshop. We are excited to have you here as we begin to build this ladder. This post will give you the instructions needed to get into the game room at CCG Workshop. There will be other posts on the instructions on how to start a game or join a table and the like.

In order to play games on CCG Workshop, you will need to review their page here.

The first thing you will need to do here is create your player account, as you will not be able to play any games or enter the lobbies unless one is created. Remember, your screen name in chat has to match your name on the ladder. You can create your account by clicking here.

Then, you will need to click on the "Download" link. You will need to downloas the 6.6 MB .EXE file. There is no need to download any of the other files listed. You can just choose "Run" when the popup occurs asking whether to Run or Save. You can also download the file by clicking here.

Note: Here are the recommended requirements for the program as outlined by CCG Workshop...

1. Windows 2000 or newer (older versions may cause stability issues.

2. 512 MB RAM

3. Approximately 60 MB free hard disk space per game.

4. 56 KB internet connection or higher, but broadband is recommended.

Once you have downloaded the program, you may need to update the build to the newest version. As of the writing of this post, the version was 179. This game site runs off of a seperate program altogether.

*** Now, you will need to go to the Start menu. You need to look for the folder "ccg workshop". Then, look for "gatlingEngine" and then click on "Launch gatlingEngine". This is how you will need to log in to the game lobbies.

Now, a login box will pop up. You will need to enter your screen name and password you created during the signup. Once you log in, you may be prompted to update the program. Follow those instructions on screen. This may happen a few times until you get to the newest build. The program will shut down completely after each update. Just keep following the instructions starting with the 3 stars until you get into the room. When you enter, you will now be in the main lobby.

Congratulations!!! You have now made into the game site. Please see the other posts for information regarding the site itself and features. :)
