How to join the Teamygin ladder, create a Team, add players to a team or Join an existing team:

Step 1 – Choose an Individual Member Name – Not the “Group” Team Name.

This is YOUR team-ygin member name. Select a name that you like. If you don’t already have this name created with Yahoo, do so before you join the team ladder.

** Note: Teamygin has a little rule regarding using the same name you may be using as a member on another ladder (ygin) or any other type of ‘other league” sharing Advanced Lounge.

Example: Ygin member “sally sue blue” can’t use her Ygin name on TEAM-ygin.
Sally must choose a different name. Example: “sally_is_not_here”.

This allows teamygin members to enjoy playing team games in Advanced Lounge without having to worry about being penalized by for not playing direct challenges from the other ladder players

** If you join up first with a name that you currently are using on name other league name that shares the advanced lobby, you can change your name the same way as you do on Ygin by clicking the User Editor link on the side menu bar.

Step 2- GROUP Team Name

If you are going to be the ‘CAPTAIN” of a team and after YOU sign up and activate your individual account. You then can create a “Team”.

To create your team, go to the side menu bar and click on “Sign up Team” under the heading Team Functions.

You will then be prompt to enter your ladder name and password AND choose a team name. Please type the exact group team name you have chosen. Then click enter. Your team has now been created and listed in the standings as “unranked”.

Step 3- Adding players/members to your team:

Click on the link “Team Editor” under team functions on the side menu bar. You will be prompted to enter YOUR teamygin name and password, click enter. Then you will be shown a window with several editing options. Select Option 2 – Add Players. Type the player’s name exactly (caps and all) then click the “add player” button and your done.

You can access the list of players on your team by clicking Option 1- Show team roster.

** Note: Keep in mind you can have a minimum of 2 members with a max of 10 members on a team. It is okay to keep your team small if that is what you want. You do not have to add anyone to your roster if you want to keep your team down to a minimum.

If you would rather join an already existing Team, simply contact the Team’s Captain via email or in the lobby of Advanced Lounge and ask if you can join their team. The Captain will add you to the team roster if they have a need for more players.

Game Settings are 200 points. They are not “tags”. One member from each team play at one table and the other pair play at a second table.

The total points from both games determine who the Team winner of the match is. One player from the losing team reports on behalf of the losing pair/team. All team members from the “match teams” can be at both tables to watch the game to keep up with points and to cheer each other on. Please keep chat to a minimum if requested by the players.

You can play the same Team 3 times a day, just not back to back games.
